This month’s One Photo focus challenge was a great flower photo by Julie Powell. Flower photos are always fun to play with! I always like to zoom in and look at the close-up details, which can be astounding. When the photo has good resolution, the zoom button is like your own little microscope. Here is the original photo:
To get a nice image with zoomed and cropped images I normally use the Sharpen, Sharpen edges and/or Sharpen More functions, and also increase the contrast slightly. This can help to remove some fuzziness. Here are some different views on the same flowers. Imagine how each flower must look to a bee! I loved the little dewdrops on the edge of each delicate petal.
Nice close focus on parts of the tulip. Lovely result.
Thanks!
Natalie, especially LOVE that last shot, with those dewdrops poised on the edge of the flower. Brilliant!
Thanks! I only noticed that right at the end 🙂 I loved all the artistic interpretations on your website too.
